Here it is: the front cover of The Legendary: Volume 2.

Ten faces around one bullet hole. Every face is placed exactly on purpose.

The bullet hole is Frank. He’s one of the Legion’s gunslingers, and he’s the point of impact. The cracks run out from there and split everyone around him. That’s where the Legion stands this season: at the point where it could shatter.

Look at who’s next to whom. Bladeline and Trekarn sit side by side, because they’re a pair. They always are. Frank and Loxy are on opposite sides of the glass. That’s on porpoise too. I’ll let you wonder about that one.

And at twelve o’clock is General Freedom. He demands to be on top, so that’s where he is. Watchmen fans already know what twelve o’clock means on a doomsday clock. On either side of him are Wynd and Gunny, his commanders.

The Legendary: Volume 2 is out October 31 on Amazon and Kindle.
